We’re touring the Green Lake neighborhood this month and we couldn’t pass through without stopping at Rosita’s Mexican Grill.

Don’t you hate that feeling of hunger when you’re sitting at a restaurant waiting for food, knowing that you are so close to comforting your growling belly? One of the great things about Rosita’s is the free hand-made tortillas brought to you hot off the grill while you wait! They also serve complimentary chips and salsa. Just don’t eat too much before your meal comes - their food is delicious and filling!

Here's where you will find them:
7210 Woodlawn Ave NE Seattle, WA 98115
(206) 523-3031
Price Range: $11-30

Rosita’s has a great happy hour from 4-6pm and 9pm-close everyday.

Green Lake’s water level was lowered in 1911 to form more park space, cutting off the water inflow and outflow routes. Now it is fed only by rainwater and Seattle’s water supply. There is also a constant battle to keep

Just like starting a new school or adding new siblings, moving is a major life change for children.  There can be a wealth of support and conversation found in children’s books. The stories and illustrations can be a great catalyst for starting the conversation about moving with your children.

“Sometimes it can be hard for parents to find the right words to offer support and guidance for their children. But reading a story can allow parents to speak their hearts — even if the sentiment is ‘borrowed’ from the author of the book,” says family blogger Megan Tietz.

We couldn’t agree more, and that’s why we’ve come up with 10 books that will soothe and comfort your child as you both navigate through the big move.
