Learn how to use your camera to its full potential, and start thinking like a professional photographer!

Visit Shoreline Historical Museum for the exhibit “High and Dry: The Lowering of Lake Washington and its Effects”. The exhibit explores the “before” and “after” of the lowering of Lake Washington and its effect on the local environment and waterfront communities. Through research and photographs, the exhibit details a piece of history that has shaped how we live today.

Get out and volunteer in the City of Shoreline! Join Master Native Plant Stewards from the Washington Native Plan Society and help restore local urban forests. There are several urban forest restoration volunteer opportunities in the coming months including project at Twin Ponds, Boeing Creek, Brugger’s Bog, and more. Removal of invasive weeds is underway and help is needed this fall preparing and installing native plants.

Kick off the holiday season with the Christmas Ship Celebration in Shoreline! This Pacific Northwest tradition takes place every year at Richmond Beach Saltwater Park located at 2021 NW 90th Street.

Gather around a roaring bonfire on the beach while enjoying live music by St. Luke School Choir before the arrival of the Christmas Ship. The Christmas Ship will arrive off the shore of Saltwater Park shortly after, followed by a fleet of Argosy vessels and private sailboats decked out with holiday lights. Complimentary cookies will be served at the RBCA booth on the beach. The Event is sponsored by the City of Shoreline and Richmond Beach Community Association.
